1. I like all the new features that you guys keep introducing, but I have a question that I need as clear an answer as possible.
In the last few months, AOL has been closing many of its products e.g. AOL Pictures, AIM Callout, XDrive, etc.
What are the chances that AIM Mail would take that path?
How many ACTIVE users do you have for AIM Mail?

2. @kartikshankar: Thank you for your kind words. I can certainly understand your concerns but I can assure you there is nothing to worry about. Mail by AOL is currently number 2 in the US and we are growing. We are not only providing Mail to our AIM users, but also to our other brands like AOL, CompuServe, Netscape, IQC etc. We are very committed to what we are doing and AIM mail is an important part of our strategy.
I hope this answers your question and addresses your concern.

4. I keep trying to access my mail, but a message pops up saying AOL is upgrading, and "get back to your mail". When I attempt to do so, I am thrown out of my mailbox and back to the same screen. Please Help!

5. When might we see some updates to the calendar and address book features. With mobile sync becoming more and more popular each month, the address book doesn't sync quite well to many mobile phones (because of limitations to how many numbers/emails can be stored, etc.) and the calendar is pretty locked down to use through webmail or some syncing (one way) to some brands....

6. On the "NEW" AOL webmail ALL my settingS are gone and when I try to reset them they will NOT save!!! PLEASE ADVISE
Posted at 9:50AM on Mar 17th 2009 by stevenlwoods
7. @Mak: That's a stupid Internet Explorer issue. Clear your cache (and your cookies if you want) then reload AOL Webmail. This will fix it.
@Brad: We are working on this for our next release. We will improve the Addressbook to work better with Sync
@stevenlwoods: When we release new versions of webmail your settings should not be affected. However, there is a problem with our settings server this morning - that's why you might see issues (Some can't read/write their settings). The team is working on this.

8. How do I turn of the "You've Got Mail" announcement? I've had it turned off for so long that I don't remember how I did it, and it's back today for some reason. NOT work friendly!! ;)
Posted at 10:25AM on Mar 17th 2009 by Susan
9. @Susan: That's under "Settings" - "General". However, the issue I mentioned in the comment above might cause this (not able to read/save your settings). We're working on this and it should be fixed soon. Your settings won't actually be affected.

10. Help! I'm a long-time aol mail user, though recently converted my account to the free email address. I am viewing my aol mail through Microsoft Outlook 2002. Very recently I've noticed that I'm getting an error message when trying to send mail via Outlook -- "Your outgoing STMP email server has reported an internal error... The server responded: 552 EXCEEDED STORAGE ALLOCATION" What is going on and how do I fix this? I've been operating quite quickly up to this point. I've checked my email folders via aol.com and have deleted, but this doesn't seem to be improving. Please -- HELP! Thank you.
Posted at 11:02AM on Mar 17th 2009 by Sandra
11. @Sandra: First make sure that the error message is actually coming from the AOL SMTP server - and not from the server of your recipient (it might very well be, that the mailbox of your recipient is full). Then also make sure your sent mail folder is not too full. While AOL offers unlimited storage you have to "unlock" the next chunk of storage space if you hit a certain limit. To do this simply log into AOL Webmail (http://webmail.aol.com). If you hit the limit you will be presented with a pop up to unlock the next chunk of space. You can also use Webmail to manage the folders and sent folder.

12. I got a bogus email from "the AOL team" today requesting that I update my billing info. I am marking it as spam. But is there anyway to report this to AOL when using web mail? Seems that AOL would want to check this out.
Posted at 7:34PM on Mar 17th 2009 by Nancy
13. @Nancy: Marking this as spam is the right away. In doing so you basically also submit this mail to our spam and security team. They will take the necessary actions.

14. I don't like the new way my email looks. when I open a message it does no longer open a new window and the message is condensed inside the listing of new mail..
I go back and forth from basic version to standard with no change.
Please advise as I am getting really fed up with AOL and ready to change my email account.
Thanks,

16. I went to start my day this morning and all my contacts are empty? How do I get them back on AOL? I did not delete or change or anything.

17. My contacts are gone - haven't changed anything. What's going on and how can I get them back?
Posted at 10:01AM on Mar 19th 2009 by LLema
18. @Regina Bartlett: Not really a new feature: You can change this behavior by going to "Settings" and then check "Always read mail in a new window" and/or "Always write mail in a new window"
@mjwalker54, LLema: Your contacts are still there. However there was a temporary issue this morning. This should be solved now. If you still have issues feel free to contact me directly: marcelbmbecker(at)aol.com

19. Hi, When I use my AOL browser, I see the pictures fine in emails, but when I use Mozilla Firefox, I can't see them. How can I fix this problem?
Posted at 1:51PM on Mar 19th 2009 by Anny
20. @Anny: This is a bug in Firefox 3.0.7. We have notified Mozilla and they confirmed it will be fixed with their next release (3.0.8). We will also release a work around fix for this on 3/25. In the meantime you have two options: Download the images which are attached or use another browser. Sorry for the inconvenience.
