22. This "blog" is for a member of the aol staff. I have been a faithful member of aol for almost 10 years. With all of the new technology and free capabilities for email, I am formally requesting a reduction (or modification) in the cost of my aol monthly. I would appreciate if someone was to get back to me in reference to my request.
tHANK YOU,
Faithful member

23. I haven't received my new email from aol for many hours now. I have urgent email I am waiting for.. What is going on? Is there something wrong with the site? And I have checked my settings, they haven't changed... There is no reason other than something wrong from the outside that I am not getting my new mail. HELP!! -k I can't even give my aol email address to you now, since I won't be receiving confirmation from you.....VERY FRUSTRATING!!

24. It appears as though someone is using my email address on aol, to send mass emails worldwide to people and I keep getting both my inbox and spam box filled with "returned undeliverable" or mailer daemon messages. I have changed my password and there are no strange "sent" mail messages in my sent box. Is there anything I or aol can do to stop this?

25. @BH. The fee you are paying is for Dial Up Access. But customer service can certainly help you if you feel you are paying to much. You can find the number and further information at http://help.aol.com
@Kristen: Mail should be delivered immediately. Make sure you are not blocking any mail by checking your spam controls (in Webmail you can find this at "Settings" and then "Spam Controls". You can also try to "Shift-Click" on "Help" and then click on "Reset Mailbox State". (This won't affect your data, but will force a reconnect)
@Jerry Booker: This is unfortunately quite common on the internet. Spammers simply spoof or use any email address to send their spam and their is nothing you can do. They don't necessarily use your account. They simply put any email address into the From field of their Spam emails. You can read more about it at http://mailblog.aol.com/2008/11/12/getting-email-from-yourself-you-ve-probably-been-spoofed/

26. Will there ever be better mapping of folders? On my iphone and on leopard it would be nice to be able to map each folder instead of having duplicate trash, spam, and sent folders.

28. Is anyone having problems with images not showing up on emails and when "show images" is activated no images appear?

29. HELP!!
Just recently I open my email and the screen shows the most recent email for 1 second and then it switches to a screen with old emails. I reset the date settings and read my current emails. When I again open my emails the same thing happens. How can I permanently set the email screen to show and keep the most current emails on top?

30. I just got a new iMac. It runs version 10.5.6.
I can't get the AOL program to work at all. I can access my account through Firefox, but I hate not having the autofill feature when I'm writing email. I have to open AOL in two different windows and individually copy contact emails. It's a real pain! I still pay for AOL monthly. Help!

31. Help_I accidentally deleted all my email on my PDA from both handheld and PC. Is there any way or place to retrieve it?
I have checked the SPAM,recently deleted and old folders - nothing. Used to be able to go to a server site and manage.TIA

32. I have two requests/suggestions for AOL mail.
1. Everyone occasionally goes to the sent folder to find a sent email, right? No matter how many people you send the email to, it only shows one "sent to name". When sending email using TO and Cc and Bcc, the sent name shown should only be someone in the TO blank. Frequently the sent name I see listed by AOL in the sent column is a Cc or Bcc name.
And if I Bcc myself, it can show ME as the person sent to! Clearly in the case of multiple recipients the "TO" name should be someone in the sent TO column. (and not a Cc or Bcc name.)
2. On editing names in your contact list, the word EDIT and the trash can are far too close together. I accidently deleted a contact. (And I didn't find the undelete/restore for the contact.) Please put some space between edit and trash in the contact list.

33. @fbump1: This is a bit funky: When changing the sort order wait for 2-3 minutes to be 100% sure it gets saved. We will "optimize" this in the future
@gneal39959: That's a Firefox 3.0.7 bug. We notified Mozilla about this and they will fix this around 4/14. We have a workaround fix which we will release on 3/25. This is currently in beta at http://beta.webmail.aol.com
@tom: 1: This is unfortunately a shortcoming of our back end. We will fix this however pretty soon, since we are working on moving to a different back end (want to spare you the tech details here) 2: Thanks, I will pass this on to the design guys for review
@marygee4ccl: If you deleted your mail everywhere there is no way to get it back. Usually the mail stays in "Recently Deleted" but depending on how your PDA deleted it it might be gone forever. I am sorry about this. Not sure if you also checked via http://webmail.aol.com
@gailstory: Make sure you are using the latest Firefox or Safari version on your Mac. And make sure you are using standard webmail and not basic webmail. If you don't want to use webmail you might also want to grab the latest AOL Desktop software for the mac from: http://daol.aol.com/software/desktop-for-mac/

34. When am I going to be able to send photos in my emails? Are you really working on this? If I can forward email with pictures, why can't I insert my photos? When I send mail with attachments, about half of the recepients can't download (probably not an AOL problem), so I greatly miss this feature.
Posted at 1:30PM on Mar 24th 2009 by suzie
35. @suzie: To be able to embed images, the need first need to be uploaded somewhere. Since we had to shut down AOL Pictures this "somewhere" is no longer available, hence we had to disable the "image embed" feature. Yes, we are actively working on bringing this back with other partners. It will be released in beta very, very soon. We are as frustrated about this as you, believe me. But at the same time we are excited to have it back even better in a short period of time. In the meantime attaching pictures should be fine, since most email clients will even display attached pictures inline (AOL Webmail does as well). Thanks for your patience.

36. I transfered to a new 'free' account and now I cannot forward messages the same as I receive them. What am I doing wrong?
Posted at 3:12PM on May 11th 2009 by Nancy Maraj
37. Yes, to fbump1 (3/23) - for about 10-14 days now no images show up in any of the e-mails I receive. This is the first time I have ever had this problem and nothing i try seems to fix it - I just get a weird icon in the upper left part of the image box. Does anyone know how to fix this?

39. @Pam: I answered this question already. See comment 33: That's a Firefox 3.0.7 bug. We notified Mozilla about this and they will fix this around 4/14. We have a workaround fix which we will release on 3/25 (which is tomorrow). This is currently in beta at http://beta.webmail.aol.com
