61. I've been a user of AOL mail for many years and when I first saw that there was a new version I thought it would have to be great. Boy was I surprized. Now when you look for address in your contact list it's no longer a matter of typing in one letter in the address bar. When you use spell check you have to scroll down the entire list instead of mearly clicking on the mispelled word and slecting from adrop down list. I would love to go back to my last version of AOL.

62. Please read a copy of the following email that I have received twice this week. Is this from you? I use aim mail and thought that I have unlimited storage access for emails. My daughter had this same question show up on her email a few months ago and then all her emails stopped appearing, even thought she did what it asked.
Thank so much.
Dear luckiebits,
Periodically, we'll ask you to enter a code so we can continue providing you with unlimited storage space for your e-mail. This code confirms your identity and helps keep people from using automated programs to save tons of junk mail and large files on our servers -- which could slow down your service.
Click here to go to the code screen now. It only takes a minute to complete and helps us give you the best e-mail experience possible.
Thanks for your cooperation,
The Mail Team

63. @randyoffshore: What "new version" are you referring to? Are you using webmail? (http://webmail.aol.com?) Nothing has changed there with regards to autocomplete and spellchecker

64. @Barb Slessman: This mail is legit. This is to make sure their is nobody missusing the unlimited storage. You will get this mail everytime you reach a certain storage limit. The storage itself is not limited.
Hope this helps and helps clarify it.

68. Are there any plans to provide calendar syncing functionality compatible with smart phones. My wife and I used to use AOL Calendar because it allowed us to keep up to date at home and work with multiple family schedule changes. But we stopped because we had to have calendar availability on our smartphone and so started using outlook at home instead. Why can't AOL introduce a smartphone syncing calendar capability and market it as a great solution for families, especially older moms and dads, supposedly our core constituency. Appreciate your thoughts.

69. I received an attachment called winmail.dat Even though the person sending it says it's a PDF, it isn't ...it's a *.dat file and I can't open it.
When my secreatary opens it with her email (not AOL) she IS able to open it as the PDF.
Any suggestions.

70. Hi Tom,
We have our next generation of AOL Sync in beta testing. You can try it out at http://aolsync.aol.com/
It supports 100s of different phones including Blackberry, Windows Mobile, and iPhone (though no calendar sync yet on the iPhone).
Please try it out and let us know what you think.

71. I have a client that when he sends mail from Outlook 2007 (via IMAP) he gets two emails in his sent folder. One without a virus scan message and the other says "No virus in this incoming message" (using free AVG). There are also two emails in aol web mail. Started yesterday April 13th, 2009. Receiver, however, only receives one email. Any ideas?

73. After only using Instant Messenger for several years, I went back to my AOL Email account and it welcomed me back. I used Easy Transfer to tell everyone my Email address, assuming it was still @aol.com. All looked great until everyone told me my address was not @aol.com but @aim.com
Are all free account @aim.com ? How can I have my email @aol.com?

75. I've had my AOL email address for over 10 years. However, it was under a VERY old account my grandparents had set up waaay back in the day. Recently, my Grandmother cancelled the account and I did the email save through AOL and had no problems. About a week and a half ago my Grandmother cancelled some sort of AOL voicemail thing and now my account is under what seems like a permanent 'routine maintenance'. I am now an adult and use that email as my primary email to do EVERYTHING. I need to be able to access my emails and send them. Right now I can still sign into the account, but cannot read any sort of emails or send them. I will be very upset if this doesn't resolve soon. I also haven't been able to find any phone numbers to help desks to inquire about the 'maintenance'. Thanks for the help!!

77. After updating to internet explorer 8, I started to have problems with both Aol Desktop and Aol 9.5. First of all, when I open new window from AOL mail, it exits. I removed both Aol softwares and re-installed them. Then, I found error code 100. I can not re-installed Aol Desktop and 9.5 softwares any more. What is the problem ?
Posted at 10:03PM on Apr 18th 2009 by toyonaga1
78. I like Aol software because I can save font and text color.
Now that I cannot load Aol Desktop nor 9.5, I have to use Firefox and I can no longer save the font and text color to my mail setting. Can you help
Posted at 10:02PM on Apr 18th 2009 by toyonaga1
79. @toyonaga1: please make sure to download the latest AOL software from http://daol.aol.com/software and if the install issue persists please email me at websuiteblog@aol.com and I will help trouble shoot this further.
Also the default font settings can only be saved with the AOL software, you cannot do that if you are using AOL webmail at http://webmail.aol.com
@PJ Smith:This should have been a temporary issue. You can try two things if this problem still occurs: Assuming you are using AOL webmail, http://webmail.aol.com , Try adding a new contact to your Address Book, by clicking on Contacts(left hand pane below Recently Deleted), save it and wait to let it sync (you can delete it again).
If the problem still exists after that, try "shift-click" on "Help" (upper right corner) and then "Reset" your Address state (don't worry, nothing will happen to your data. Then try again.

80. @cmoktrina: can you try again and log in directly to AOL webmail at http://webmail.aol.com and let me know if you are able to access mail, else communicate directly with me at websuiteblog@aol.com and I'll further troubleshoot your issue.
