81. I've had my AOL account for 7-9 years. Six to nine months ago, I started accessing my email via the Webmail only. At this time I re-organized, added, and deleted contacts in my address book. All new addresses added that day and thereafter are placed in the category to which I assign them (i.e. family, college friends, etc.) AND they are placed in the co-workers category. I never placed any of these emails in this category nor can I remove them. (When I go to edit the address, it says it is only in the category to which I assigned it.) If I delete the address from the co-workers category, it also deletes the address from the appropriate category. I tried contacting AOL or free support regarding this apparent bug already, but never received a response. It's very frustrating from an organizational point! Can you please help me?

82. Why not offer a web based mail system for paying subscribers that is rich in content like the software version without the AOL software which has always caused me issues? Recently got a new hard drive and not eager to reload AOL software.

83. I don't think my previous email went through. I need to access a couple emails I thought I had left in my new folder, but cannot find them. Is there a way to access deleted mail that is probably a month old? I don't see the emails in my deleted folder.
Thanks!

86. We depend on hearing our audible alert from the other room when new mail arrives. About a week ago it just stopped working. We have checked and we still have the checkbox marked that tells our mailbox to sound an audible alert when new mail arrives. We have tried everything. What could have caused it to stop working suddenly...and is there anything we can do to trouble-shoot the problem? Thanks

88. AOL autocomplete has stopped working on two machines after using "settings > compose" to change from Rich Text / HTML formatting to Plain Text formatting and back again.
One machine is Windows 98SE, IE6. Webmail Basic
The second machine is Windows XP SP2, IE8. Webmail Basic
The behavior of the two machines, in this respect, is identical. AOL webmail autocomplete does not work after the Settings > Compose is used to change the Rich Text / HTML setting from off to on.
It may be that this change is altering the AOL Webmail site behavior with respect to its handling of the autocomplete popup window. I can find no way to manage popup windows on the AOL webmail site.
Please advise as to how to restore the function and get AOL Webmail Basic autocomplete to work again.

89. @Liz Holmes: we are aware of this issue and will roll out a fix shortly. Stay tuned!
@sadiq basha:can you confirm you are logging in to http://webmail.aol.com directly when this happens and share your browser type too.
@valsworkmail:It seems you have an "aol style" mailbox with "new" and "old" folders. Read mail will automatically move from the "New mail" folder to the "Old/Read Mail" folder. Mail in both folders will be erased after 30 days. If you want to save them, you need to store them in one of your "Saved on AOL" folders.
If you don't like this behavior, you can switch to a true internet style mailbox. This will give you one "Inbox" instead of two folders "Old mail / New Mail".
Just click this link:
inbox.aol.com/mail/changeMailboxStyle?style=self
If you don't like that, you can switch back any time by clicking this link:
inbox.aol.com/mail/changeMailboxStyle?style=auto

90. @jaspivo0: This should have been a temporary issue. You can try two things if this problem still occurs: Try adding a new contact to your Address Book, by clicking on Contacts(left hand pane below Recently Deleted), save it and wait to let it sync (you can delete it again).
If the problem still exists after that, try "shift-click" on "Help" (upper right corner) and then "Reset" your Address state (don't worry, nothing will happen to your data. Then try again.

91. Been trying to get AOL to tell me how to delete/cancel an AIM account. That is: cancel screen name/password/account for that screen name only. They refuse to answer. Need to cancel one of three accounts and there is no link on the AIM or AOL screen about canceling accounts. If that screen name is under my account, which will remain open, then AIM/AOL is not accepting my answer to the security question.

92. I have added my website address (http://www.......) to my signature so I don't have to type it while composing an email. Why is it not a "hot" clickable link? The recipients always have to copy the address and paste it in the address bar to go to my website. Thank you
