5. For some reason, whenever I try to go to AIM express it won't let me! It says I need Adobe Flash! What is that all about? I typed it into Google (yea...) and I got nothing, I'm totally lost! Please give me some advice.
Posted at 8:20PM on Jul 15th 2009 by Molly
6. @Molly: AIM Express requires Adobe Flash to be installed on your system. This should usually already be installed since a lot of sides require this as well. You can get it here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
If you don't want to install it you can also just use the built in AIM client in Webmail: http://webmail.aol.com

8. I need help with a netscape.net account please. I used this account as an alternate email for a yahoo account. I need to retrieve my yahoo password and so yahoo has sent password reset info to my netscape.net account. I think you can see my dilemma. I have created a new AOL account using my old netscape.net login info, but I am not getting any of the emails.l Further more yahoo has not given an error message indicating the reset info was undeliverable.

9. @Jon: How did you try to create this netscape.net account? An AOL account and netscape.net are not the same.
@Depina: Check you spam setting (is it on Medium or High?) and keep reporting it as spam. That's the right way to do that.

12. I keep receiving an email message entitled E-mail Storage Maintenance Necessary. Can you tell me how I know if it is legit or a hoax? Email is below.
Periodically, we'll ask you to enter a code so we can continue providing you with unlimited storage space for your e-mail. This code confirms your identity and helps keep people from using automated programs to save tons of junk mail and large files on our servers -- which could slow down your service.
Click http://challenge.aol.com/en/us/storage.html to go to the code screen now. It only takes a minute to complete and helps us give you the best e-mail experience possible.
Thanks for your cooperation,
The Mail Team

13. @ne2907: this mail is legit. You need to complete this to increase your storage limit. This is to prevent hackers or bots from misusing our back ends.

14. Marcel,
I tried to upgrade my storage and this is the response I got. Now what?
Sorry, at this time you are not eligible for a storage upgrade since you have not used all of the available storage associated with your mailbox. Thanks for your cooperation, and we are sorry for any inconvenience.

16. I cannot convert my newmail/oldmail mailbox to a "unified" mailbox. There is no setting for this in settings and if I use http://inbox.aol.com/mail/changeMailboxStyle?style=self I ger an error stating "Sorry!
Your mailbox is not eligible for switching."
I have four AOL UK webmail screennames and it is the same for all of them

17. I didn't know this was in AOL.9.5 until I looked around. I hear good things about blog.
Posted at 4:58PM on Jul 29th 2009 by Dwight Crim
18. @ne2907: The storage increase was probably already granted. You should not get those mails anymore
@Janice James: How are you trying to send/forward? Are you using http://webmail.aol.com? Are you getting any error messages? Are you composing mails inline or as pop-out?
@Peter John Miller: Do you have @aol.com or @aol.co.uk addresses? Switching is currently only possible for US based @aol.com addresses. However, we are working to convert all our mailboxes for all users to unified in the new future.

19. Marcel, I continue to get emails to expand my storage and I have not been successful in doing so. FYI, it is for another screen name account - not ne2907. Please advise. I don't want to risk losing any emails! Thank you!

20. Marcel,
I have @aol.com addresses because I had originally been a UK based member of AOL for 14 years or so. On ceasing my membership I was told that my addresses would change to @aol.co.uk, although my @aol.com addresses would, and do, continue to work.
So I guess that my addresses are treated as @aol.co.uk and this why I cannot convert (yet) but it is helpful to know that the option is coming.
The curious thing is that there was one occasion after I stopped my membership a box came up inviting me to convert to unified mailbox, but at the time I did not know what the implications of that would be and therefore declined!
When I log out of AOL webmail my browser goes to the AOL UK home page (even if I have logged in via a US log-in page, e.g. the new CompuServe webmail log-ins), a but if I try to look for help from that page or from within my mailbox, I am taken to help mostly intended for AOL members using the AOL software, so it is not much help.
Anyway, thanks for the information, which is more helpful than anything I found on aol.co.uk!
