21. @ne2907: I assume you are completing the storage captchas with the same Screename you are getting the mails at? Can you also try to convert it into a true inbox (in case it isn't yet: Go here: http://inbox.aol.com/mail/changeMailboxStyle?style=self (but again: Sign in with the correct screename into webmail first)
@Peter John Miller: Np. This blog should be your main source for help and information around AOL Mail anyway. Don't hesitate to check here or to write to us directly. 23. I keep getting the following which I thought was a hoax:
Periodically, we'll ask you to enter a code so we can continue providing you with unlimited storage space for your e-mail. This code confirms your identity and helps keep people from using automated programs to save tons of junk mail and large files on our servers -- which could slow down your service.
Click http://challenge.aol.com/en/us/storage.html to go to the code screen now. It only takes a minute to complete and helps us give you the best e-mail experience possible.
Thanks for your cooperation,
The Mail Team
I finally decided to try it and then got the following message:
Sorry, at this time you are not eligible for a storage upgrade since you have not used all of the available storage associated with your mailbox. Thanks for your cooperation, and we are sorry for any inconvenience.

26. I converted my classic compuserve account in May and since then people have been complaining that they sent me e-mails which I never received. I was using a POP3 account, not web mail. Today I tried the web mail and I saw a couple of legitimate e-mails in the SPAM folder. They were never picked up by my POP3 client. This is absolutely wrong. I should be able to receive all e-mails. What is the point of using a POP3 client if I have to log on to the webmail anyway for checking the spam? What makes it worse is the fact that the spam folder only keeps 3 days of e-mails. So whatever I missed for this couple of months, I lost forever.
Will this problem be addressed? Is it possilbe to disable the spam filter?

27. Re: #26
Hi!
If you use POP3 settings in your email client, you will only see your online Inbox folder, and not your online Spam folder. There are two ways to see all your email:
1) Use IMAP settings (imap.aol.com) in your email client, to see all your folders, or
2) Turn off your Spam filter by signing in to AOL Webmail and clicking on Settings in the upper right corner.

Don

28. Hi!
Correction to Message #27
For CompuServe, the IMAP server is imap.csi.com (not imap.aol.com).

32. I have the same problem Patricia listed in July and I never saw an answer: How do we retrieve netscape.net email? For over a year I have been logging in on aol for that account and just today it stopped. Now my login and password that I've had for at least 3 years is invalid. I opened a new aol account but need to transfer all my info (contacts, addresses) from the netscape email. Please, please give me some guidance:) I will appreciate it more than life itself!

36. Hi there,
it's my first time using AOL services and i was thinking about durability!!
i've been reading some comments in few posts about loosing e-mail messages and account inactivation!
I've just registered my account few hours ago and i was sending messages to some of my friends but it took about 4 minutes to retrieve new mail although my own messages is being sent to my friends just after i hit the "Send" button!
can you please tell me about this issue? and can i make another aol account for my work?

37. @Sheila: Your netscape.net account should still work. Did you try to reset the password? How did you try to log in?
@WCW1241: This should work in any version. Are you using http://webmail.aol.com?
@dorothy coursey: This is an Internet Explorer issue. Clear your cache and try again. I recommend using Firefox or Safari though.
@am.Obaid: Be assured that nobody is losing mail or data. In most cases people are accessing AOL Mail via POP3 and then are confused if there mail gets deleted by the POP3 application. There should also be no issues with accessing accounts. (There was an issue during migration of CompuServe Classic accounts but this would not have affected you). You can create as many free Mail by AOL accounts as you want. Also try http://www.tunome.com to create accounts with different domains.

38. There's something wrong with my email. I can receive mail, but I can't send any! I can only send mail to myself. I get an error saying, "The message was not sent because of an error. The message cannot be sent. If this problem continues, please see our technical support information." I already went to the aol tech support, but the solutions didn't work. I tried to verify mail controls, but I don't know how to. I don't even know where the AOL keyword search is! Please help me as soon as possible! I need to send mail. And I just recently made this email. Please help me!!!!
